Sports and recreation are about so much more than the game. 🏀⚽🏃 They help students build confidence, friendships, leadership skills and a sense of belonging. The recent Joint Use Agreement between the Abbotsford School District and the City of Abbotsford is a great example of what’s possible when we work together — sharing resources, reducing barriers and creating more opportunities for students and our community. As a trustee, I want to continue strengthening that partnership and asking one simple question: How can we work together to give our students more opportunities to succeed? Such a special full-circle moment—catching up over coffee at Pastry Portal with my Grade 5 teacher, Miss Wallace! ☕️ It was wonderful reminiscing about my time at ASIA North Poplar and sharing where life has taken us since.
